Worst headphones guide

This page contains advice about what we have found to be the worst reference headphones brand in the market, and we really hope you’re not here to buy something.

We couldn’t try every single headphone in the market. But we could try a good number of the most recognized brands, and find more than one model that we know for sure won’t play a role in our audio productions.

We didn’t get into details about any single headphone, because there’s not even reason about it:
as a very smart and long dead person said,
excellence is a habit.

Everyone not agree with this mindset is probably just looking forward to some cheap excuses to justify its lack of skills to justify their inability to replicate excellent outcomes (which can also come out with luck).

AKG: lots of hype, lack of bass and generally butchered frequency response. Many people are misled into thinking that “flat listening” means “poor, without soul”. When, in fact it, means “without flaws” referring to the frequency response chart behavior of a reliable sound source. And that, we think, is why do they sound like this.
On the other hand, they’re the most comfortable headphones out there.

Beats: they look cool, but really nothing much else. We already spent some nice words about them.

KRK: they monitors may sound cool, but their headphones have a terribly messed up frequency response.
