Omnisphere it’s not as ductile as Reaktor, but the latest 2.0 release has brought some really good analog sounds to its offer. And, as opposed to Reaktor, it has a really light CPU usage.

Massive is a quite ductile synthesizer with a digital soul: if you’re looking for simple digital sounds à la Nine Inch Nails, set for no less.
FM8 is one of the most complex musical instruments ever built, and it has an extremely exciting array of digital sounds possibilities.
But, as I just said: it is extremely complex. FM synthesis is quite different from the typical subtractive and addictive ones, and could be somehow complex to understand.
Reaktor is one of the most complete synthesizers ever built: there is no field in which it doesn’t excels.
Unfortunately, its CPU usage is quite high, limiting its use in the most complex DAW sessions.
Omnisphere has one of the most beatiful choices of digital sounds nowadays available, and it is extremely CPU and RAM friendly.
On the other hand, its programmability it’s very, very basic: if you don’t find the right preset, it will be quite hard to mold your sound from scratch.
