“Reamping” comes from the fusion of “re” and “amp”: re-amplify – “amplify again”. Which is, more or less, what canonical reamping consists of: playing a previously recorded clean track into a guitar rig (pedals, amplifier, cabinet…) and recording it again from end chain, so to have an equivalent of an actual guitar tracking.
It’s an extremely handy and powerful practice, that allows to produce professionally sounding records by cutting costs and logistics problems.
For example: you can record your guitar track at your home, with an inexpensive audio card, and then send the track to be reamped with our service, and having as outcome the same as a fully fledged guitar tracking session …but without having to leave your room, nor having to rent a recording studio with technicians and everything.
You can literally record your guitar track while being on vacation, and getting back a professional recording session just by submitting the clean recording with our form, together with the instructions about what kind of sound would you like to have.
Interesting, isn’t it?
Its limitations?
None.
The only difficulty is for the reamping provider, who should be equipped with modern audio production technology and proper project management skills. Both features well covered many years ago, by LmK Music Production.
Why is it so scarcely diffused?
As already said, not everyone is ready to provide reamping services. Not a big problem, for you: we are. And you’re one click away to have yours!
